R1, 10, BUSA?
Ok, main issue is leg crampness. Hamstrings kill on my bike now.
I wanted the BUSA, but now this guy said with my size an R1 has most leg room. What do you all say about this? He also mentioned the ZX10 as a good leg room compared to BUSA. I was shocked, but curious about your experiences.
What do you all think?
Thanks for any opinions or experiences.

I've got to say the R-1 has the most comfortable perch but, I won't give up the 166 ponies that my 04 ZX10 pushes out. It's plenty roomy & I'm 6'2 235lb. I've strattled the 06 zx10 & I feel like i'm on the 636 (less legroom). Can't say much about the Busa. Never rode one, have sat on & didn't feel right for me.

Wow, interesting share. Thanks man. I have a 636 and I definately don't want a mirror image on the leg zone.

I have ridden my friends busa. I did not like how it felt. You feel like you sit in it. It was okay though, not more comfortable than my 05 10r. My daughter has an 06 10r and it sits the same as the busa. You feel like you are in it. Back to back with my bike and I love how my bike feels better. I had a 12r before this one and I can ride my 10r 12 hoiurs without too much grief, I found that my butt took more punishment on my 12 than my 10. My daughter had a 636 as well before her 10 and the 636 is no where near a cosy as the 10. I am 6ft 235 and I could not ride her 636 for more than an hour. More pressure on the wrists. I chose the 05 over the 06 just for the comfort value, both bikes side by side at the dealer. Went to buy the 06 left with the 05.

I hafta disagree there.
Of course we're all different but I'm 6'2", 230 with a 32" inseam - I have had a Busa and a 12 and neither of those bikes was near as comfortable as my 04 10R is.
Try sitting on the different bikes at the bike show or at a dealer to compare the best.
The 14 seemed pretty comfy when I sat on it at the show though.

For max leg room why not get the ZX14? You get the max HP also over the 12.

What Dubious said ...
2004-05 ZX-10R will cost ya much less than a new ZX-14...just try a ZX-10R then you will know for yourself....I would not get a ZX-12R or heavy outdated Busa when I can get a ZX-10R.. that would be nuts.....just an opinion from a very happy ZX-10R owner....I would not trade it for the other options...a ZX-14 maybe...but money is better spent on a used ZX-10R with loe miles...
good luck with your final choice...

I am 6'2" @ 300lbs and the 06 10r is crunched. The only bikes I feel the most comfortable on are the CBR's and the 12 and 14.....but the 14 takes the cake with comfort...I have to say that atleast.

I think that my 14 has the most leg room. Also, when I bought it from REYNOLDSS which is a member of this site, he had aftermarket pegs on the bike and talk about leg room. I thought i was on a freaking recliner. the only reaon I put the stock pegs back on is because I am short. Nominate the zx14.
