Bad luck ; hope ya put her back together with minimal expenses; yeah one thing the ZX-10R does not have is any kind of protection against the lightweight fairings and overall designed parts in it's lightweight package......going down sucks for any bike really. Glad your ok

thanks for posting..

Cant afford to change this year and to be honest not all that taken with the new model ,

But looking to tailor some aftermarket race fairings to take the lights

Think Ive got a blue tank coming the guy just needs to drop his price buy a little

then Its off to the paint shop and I can have that mms race rep paintjob that Ive been drooling over

so its not all bad.

thanks for the kind words dudes

You might want to get the frame, swingarm, forks, axle, and wheels gauged by a professional to make sure they're perfectly straight. Expensive but worth it cause if something's not right you'll crash again without even trying.

My 954 frame "looked" straight after I dropped myself on my haircut at the track, but was bent 7 degrees laterally which is a hell of a whack. Geometry is seriously important with these things, new bikes even leave the factory with more tolerance than they should.

Glad to hear you weren't FUBAR'ed, good luck on the repairs(ahem, EBAY!).

I too have a 2002 that looked good one day and totalled the next. Don't do wheelies w/ your g/f on the back. Sliders didn't do much but break off and ther other side broke part of the frame w/ it. was doing a wheelie w/ her at 40 and my g/f pulled back hard. Good to hear your ok and I agree ebay searches for the parts and it's replacable your not. I"m getting a new 06 zx10r in a week and i'm excited. I just have to be good and no tricks. later

derek
