Well today at the shop I Was thinkin man I Want to lower my bike 2.5" in the rear....problem is is that my kick stand wont allow it to stil upright.....so since Im sooo smart I had an idea.......Dritbikes use small triangluar kick stands, why couldnt I get one for my bike......well some 1/2 rod stock a torch and a vise grip later I mad emy own to fit in my swingarm axle. so the bike is dropped now!

I lowered it threw the forks 1" and 2.5 threw the dog bones. gunna run at the track friday night

Being a mere Brit can someone please explain to me WHY you yanks have this thing of strapping down the front of the bike? It dont look THAT good and would completely screw up the handling.
Other Brits have said that you do it cos you only have straight roads and cant corner anyway so it makes no difference if you screw up the handling. That cannot be a true representation or reason for doing it so please take a few minutes out and enlighten me......

Bemused.

Heres pics of my front lowering strap. I didnt have to use the strap mounting kit but I liked the neat-ness of the brackets and it keeps the srap from rubbing against anything.

"I went out to the track and got down to 10.319 @ 137.65."

Looks to me like your getting experience with the ZX-10R .. shinko , aftermarket exhaust , pcbIII and custom map might get you knocking on nines.. thats plenty decent for a licenced street bike I would think...

looking good!!

Have fun

Thanx man......I think I could hit mabey a 9.99 if I had a real good decent 60' its jsut hard getitn them down right but at the end of the night my last and best run I felt real comfortable on the bike with launching as u can see my times were dropping pretty good.

I'll be hittin up the strip again on wensday night with the bike lowered 2.5" rear and 2" frotn with the strap, I thikn if its a lil bit more down I Can keep the front end down a lil better so we shall see.

Thanx guys!
