little help!
I've been riding for 10 months, I had a gsxr600. I was thinking of moving to a gsxr 750, but the price isn't that differant from the zx10, I am a little worried about the jump from a 600 to a 1000. Every one is telling me to go up to the zx10, they say I will get used to it. any thoughts would help..

Any bike is perfectly harmless, resting on it's sidestand. What you have between your ears will dictate how you do with a 10. If you can work slowly into it, instead of trying to keep up with your buddies first off, you'll be fine. I would go with the 10 if I had the choice.
I've heard this countless times, "I'd kill myself on one of those!". Um...why??

Buy the zx10 or better yet the GSXR100 you wont be sorry !!! Its a HUGE MISTAKE to buy the 750 if your NOT looking for something that is Lighter and easier to Turn. I have personally owned them All and it has nothing to do with oohhh that 1000 will kill me .... thats just a bunch of nonsence. They ALL run about the same when your Not Hammering . In fact the 750 is a way better bike for traffic and lots and lots of twisties. But if your looking for pure rush when you let the hammer down then simply go with the 1000. I know own a new 06 zx10 and I put a 9000 miles on it and it is way beter looking than any other bike out there but the factis the GSXR1000 is just a better bike in every sense and the GSXR750 was just way better than both for commuting and traffic.
That is the straight facts which you typically wont get because folks are vested in one of the bikes so it kind of like admitting a wrong choice or more often than that they have just never owned them all

very wise words IMHO. problem is being sure that you are able to be judicious about using the bike within YOUR limits, and not being stupid with the throttle. takes a huge dose of self control.

the problem with any bike isnt the bike itself, its the software program between the seat and the handlebars...if the programming is faulty the bike will crash, regardless of the size....
Just remember, its all about the programming in the software......
