Race fuel

What's the best race fuel to use in the zx-10 at the drag strip???

Would i have to drain the fuel system?? I was on the VP website they said do not store in vehicle.

you don't want to leave those types of fuels (MR9 or U4) in your tank sitting for more than a couple of months - they will gum up your fuel system and injectors.

If i were to mix one gallon 93 octane pump gas and one gallon U4, and drive the bike to the track apprx. 7 miles make a few passes and continue to ride for the remainder of the day until the fuel light comes on and fill it up with 93 pump gas, it should be alright right?????

Yes, but you are losing what the U4 is giving you. It needs to be run straight.

u4 will only give you and extra 4% power (approx.)
If you dilute , then whats the purpose?

The c12, and c16 really gum up, but these are for highly modified, high compr. ratio's with alot of timing advance.

The u4 never gummed up my FCR carbs( mx racing), but the propylene, and MTBE evapoerate rapidly. After a week in a vented container/ tank, any gains have pretty much evaporated away!

Not true dubious...I have had mr9 in my bike for 3 weeks and was still getting the same MPH as fresh mr9 from can...

Also used 3 month old opened mr9 from the can it came in with same MPH as fresh opened can!!!

MR9 is not a product that can be shipped the U.S. is it?

I Don't think I can get to South Dakota but would like to before race time this spring .. any info on this? Anyone sell MR9 in the midwest?

Mnimum purchase is 5 gal. I believe that would be about $100.00 as I recal reading somewhere; am I right?..

c12 & c16 burn way too slow for a stock motor zx10, better off with pump gas

U4 is a better bang for buck vs MR9 IMO

Yah, would agree with the c12/16. I was roadracing a SV650 for three years. Best numbers were on pump gas. Made it easy wrt fuel!

I said vented container/ tank bro!
Was repliing to U4 not Mr9.
I have never ran stale gas on the dyno, to compare, and infact never tried MR9, because the U4 is cheaper, and legal for my sanctioned MX races in Alberta.

I have no experience with MR9

If you are running a high compression engine then go with a high octane fuel, but if you are running stock then use U4(because its oxygenated)I think its only 93 octane. Also if you remove your exhaust/catylic converter try leaded fuels they have more lubricating properties.
