Consequences of decisions we make

The consequences of decisions we make are sometimes tangible. This one is even beneficial...

My '04 that I bought new, second 10R sold in AZ, my beautiful canyonbike:

There are many more hard bits to go on, but I needed to paint yesterday, or not until after the AFM races later this month.

Still coming are: penske double, 1.02 springs, woodcraft sliders, rearsets, and case cover; a Scotts rotary, and a powercommander and a date at the dyno.

This is what happens when you get the racing bug. Oh Mothers, tell your children, not to do what I have done...

And still to go are the passenger pegs. I need an exhaust hanger - Dino or Muzzy's still make 'em?

Been their done that, Just love it. Trouble is it only gets worse and more expensive. Makes sense of a little saying " If it has tits or wheels you just can't afford it "

Don't forget the fork cartridges, 520 conversion, Radial Master, Race loom and ECU .............

See Red's got the fever, no cure he's done for............... just gets worse as time goes on, tends to create a Vortex and sucks in all those around you who show the slightest simular interest ! You have been warned.

Ah, but I'm still a mere "Pit Bitch" (Manager & Chief Mechanic). I'm lucky to squeeze in a track day, much less, ride my bike on the street. At least I'll finally be getting race plastic for my baby after my tax return gets in. Will also be getting a Penske and the fork internals changed. Still, gotta find time for another track day. Even on track days, I'm working on team bikes.

As BMR's third season get going and just when we thought things were going to financially implode, we scored three more bike bike endurance riders, two more mini endurance riders and one more sprint rider. That is at least seven riders and 11 bikes flying BMR colors. I'm just glad I only have to work on five of them.

BMR Colors

I was in it for three years. Would still be doing it in some fashion, if Zhooligan was around. Those three years were some of the most exhilirating/terrifying/frustrating of my life.

I think we've decided on a 7x14 cargo trailer instead, and will revisit toyhaulers next year. She wants - no kidding - to put cabinets and workspace in the garage. Her idea, not mine.

Beautiful bike, and great lady you got thereKZ2ZX!
Most women aren't worried about the kitchen organization, let alone the garage!
Good luck.

Red Elk, pardon my ignorance but your racing team?
Who sponsors them, you have a dealership?
Do teams stateside operate like business, tax wise?

maybe I will pm you, do not want to become thread jacker.

KZ, you certinally got a KEEPER their! Everytime I buy another bike or something large in the collection magically another Horse appears in the paddock or a new saddle in the tac room ect.

If your wife is interested in becoming part of the team you got it made who better to have on the crew! Is she interested in riding? Maybe having a go at racing in a smaller capacity class that is a bit slower, if you could manage that you would be made in the shade.

My missus never says I can't do anything she just manages to get even by slight of hand, if memory serves me correct it cost me $12k for an upgrade on the Horse Float and she is making noises about a new F250 tow vehical for the Horses!

Guess I should have just shut up about that new MV F4 Senna I was thinking about..........Hmmmmmm.

I'm leaving for Buttonwillow early tomorrow morning. After the AFM round, I'll be at the STT trackday at Big Willow Monday.

Loading the race trailer today (borrowed a trailer from my ASMA pitmate). The 10R went to the dyno for a race tune today, gained 8 HP over stock + slipon, but the point was smothing power delivery.

That PP is there for the dyno today. I've got a PR4 for it Friday.

I'll be at Buttonwillow this weekend, sorry. I'll be at Arroyo for the April races. The menu is Kabobs, Rice Pilaf, Tabouleh, and a Pineapple Upside-down cake, bring an appetite.
