2005 Fender Removal Question

Has anyone gone with the integrated turn signals, ie, turn signals integrated into the taillights? I'm wondering about the quality, reliability, and brightness of them.

I'm considering doing this as well as putting the license plate further up near the rear shock to completely clean up the rear of the bike. There's a company that sells a hinged mount for this, but they're kinda pricey. I might make my own.

Has anyone done this?

I used the Clear Alternatives Tailight on my 04. The third one I received had ALL the bulbs working. After that, I was happy with it. Just make sure you test it before you put it on.

I wonder if that is the same light that's sold on the Competition Werkes website?

Also, has anyone moved their plate forward and down near the rear shock, just over the fender piece? I can only find a mount for $125 through Competition Werkes, and that seems pricey to me for just a tag mount. I may just make my own pivot mount and get the license screws with lights in them from Summit Racing for a really clean look.

How bright is your turn signal now, by the way? Does it seem visible enough? If it's glowing yellow LED, it seems like it would be d*mn bright.

Thanks!

yeah i got the integrated tail lights. absolutely no problems so far. didn't move the plate as far as u wanna but i like mine. i used the current steel plate bracket that is on the standard plate holder, cut it in half & bent 2 L brackets out of them. they bolt right on then! nothing extra required. I'll post a pic later.

Hmmmmm... wonder if that's basically the same product that Competition Werkes or Clear... sells.
