Don't get rid of anything till the other one shows up!
I've heard first batch will be here May, and rest in June.
Can you imagine.
I can't,and an imagination is all that will be of a zx14 and me, if I have to wait till june.

In fact out of spite I will buy a Gixxer 1K

Greg:
Keep the green 05 zx10 in california, better roads for that type of bike.
Sell the black 04 zx10 in St Albert , more straight roads in alberta to burn on a ZX14!

I called you 2 days ago about your bike.

Talk to you later-
Lyle

There is no place near Alberta except the rockies and BC that you could use the any where near the potential a full sport delivers.
The long straight rough roads in Alberta would be enjoyed more on the 14.

I agree the zx10 is a scalpel, and the zx14 an axe.
Both can do the job, but which is better suited?
around these parts ... an axe.

Greg, if the 10 is tiring you out, twitchy and too responsive , buy the 14.
The 14 will be much smoother, comfortable, and relaxed... until you twist it.

The 14 has lower 1st gear, longer range, more torque, and is less brutal on the body.
Its a comfortable bullit, the 10 is a hooligan rootin little bastard.

2 diff bikes.
Like I said the 10 for Cali, and the 14 for Alberta

The 2006 zx10r as listed on akrapovic's website makes 164rwhp. That is impressive.

Orient Express dynoed a stone stock 06 ZX10 with about 100 miles on it and it made over 168rwhp!! Could be the sleeper bike of the year.....not to take sales away from the 14 or anything!

I love my 10R (05) she pulls like a fucking bat outta hell....yes, she's got no front end at WOT...but very stable under all riding conditions, track and street...bumps etc...she handles like a dream. Easy to pull up the front end at will at any speed in 1-2 or 3...wild bike, twitchy throttle, hell ya, specially at 7K and more, but that's what they're known for. Party on...ride her like a bull!

EDIT: The main differences between the 10 and the 14 are going to be the smoothness of ride, low end TQ and handling of course. While the 10 will easily outhandle the 14 under most conditions, the 14 will be the sport touring type of ride due to the more relaxed rider position and longer chassis. I'm looking forward to the 14, but won't give up my 10 for those aggressive riding days. BTW...I've done many 500-mile days on the 10 with no comfort issues at all...and I m 6'2" at 210 lbs. From what I've heard about the 06, its not the same level of comfort as the 04-05 and more designed for track than the previous generation of 10's. At the end of the day, the 10 wil stay with the 14 pulling all the way up...and only stay slightly behind the 14, but will be a scarier ride getting up to those speeds, no doubt, but still very predicatable. I prefer that to my wife's R1 in every respect.
