Semi synthetic is a joke played by oil companies on unsuspecting fools. If you change your oil often regular old decayed dino droppings is fine. The term synthetic has been made meaningless after lawsuits failed to prevent highly refined mineral stocks from being so labeled. There are good synthetics out there, but without some research you're likely to piss away your cash.
