Question for KBryant

Have you dyno'd any of the '06 Honda 1000RRs yet? If so, how are they performing? Where does the rev limiter kick in? Thanks.

Yep. Definetly improved on the '05 model in both hp/tq. It's plus 2 - 3 hp. Tq curve is much better at low-mid. Overall tq is about the same. Peak hp was around 11300 rpm. Peak tq around 8800 rpm. Soft limiter was around 12500 rpm. The new CBR is very sweet. It's still one of the best all-around open class sportbikes. Powerwise it's way down from the '06 10. But once you get up around 150 hp (+), power is not the key factor to fast laps around the race track....

I was hoping for more improvement in the engine department. My 04 w/ full system and PC is 160.9rwhp/79.1 ftlbs so I guess there's no need to trade it on an 06 given its a street bike.
