I had a short ride of one last week and it was, simply, fun. It would be a pretty cool bike to have if you have a lot of tight, twisty roads to ride on.
Actually, it would be a pretty cool bike to ride anywhere.

To race?
I may be racing the EX650 in a spec class. The SV650 is nimble and light, and fits neatly into the LW classes.
Why would anyone race an SV1000 when the RC51, Aprilia Mille, and Duc 999 have it beaten before you even start?
If you're talking about the street, I am no longer qualified to answer.
