Bike vibrates alot
Do any of you other 10R riders think the bike vibrates alot??? When I hit over 9,000rpm it really vibrates alot. This makes the bike feel really cheap!! I have rode on other bikes before, the ZX6R, ZX9R, and they do not vibrate as bad as the 10R. I guess we are paying for the engine because the 10R just seems really cheap. Like it was just slapped together. Just my .2

I'd have to disagree with you. Unless you're just riding around at 9,000rpm I'm not sure how you could notice any vibration. As for built cheap, all the liter bikes are about the same. How else do you get the light weigh and high hp output?
As for me I've got no complaints and as for the engine it seems to be bullit proof!!!!!

I was not talking about the engine!!! I was talking about the plastic and the velcro holding the bike together!!!!! It does not seem to be put together as well as the other bikes I have owned or have rode. The BUSA seems like it is a tank and does not vibrate like the 10R. I have read on this board about people having to tighten their bolts with less then a 1000 miles on their bike. So your telling me that this bike is built good????? Get real!! I should have bought a BUSA they have ruled the sportbike scene since 99. Our bike has faults and should be brought to everyones attention. Don't act like our bike has no faults. Just because you own it does not make it the best bike!!!!!!!

bragg10r...i think your missing the point...our bikes really DONt have alot of of faults...which ones? some vibration? You talking about a 375 pound 160 rwhp monster that has the famous kawasaki rawness. If your riding the bike correctly, you won't notice anything but two things "your concentration on riding" and "holy shit, hold tight". Have you ridden the other liter bikes? the new R1, new K5 1k? Bolts should be tightened every couple of thousand miles and ANY bike, especially any bike that is 375 pounds and running 185 fly HP. The craftsmanship on every zx10r I have ever seen was top notch, maybe not as good as it can be, but very good. Look at the K5, the way they snap at high torque moments on the track, that is scary if your talking about workmanship. To be honest, these bikes are not made to sound pretty or feel a certain way. They are made to get around a track very quickly- especially the zx10r out of the liters. I thrash my zx10r with constant 10k rpm cruising and 9k roll-ons in 1st, 2nd and 3rd at least 10 times a day, maybe more and my zx10 just wants more and more...

What you don't seem to understand is this bike was built to be light and fast. As parts get lighter they won't have that substantial feel and will be more flexible. Especially the plastic pieces. There are a couple of parts that buzz a bit on mine, but that is decreasing as the mile tick off. Engine wise my bike is very smooth. Having to re-tighten things on a lightweight bike is not uncommon. Most motorcycles require that type of attention. As for your busa comment, dream on, it has not ruled the the sport bike scene since 2000. The 12 flat out performed it in every category and the GSXR 1000 overshadowed it in the performance category. Don't believe everything you read in the magazines. If you feel that you should have bought a busa, what is stopping you?

Ihad a 2004 zx10 which I put 35000 km on. Just sold it and bought an 06. I rode it hard every day above 10,000 rpm half the time on one wheel. Rode the living shi... out of it. Awsome machine and never had one problem. I never noticed any vibration except a slight vibration at a certain rpm which was barely noticeable to me. BUSA KILLER

bragg check the motor mounts. there are two bolts one each side of the frame spars that sometime get loose. you will have to remove the dreaded air box and snorkle tubes to get access.

I only get a bit of vibrations on side fairrings, thats due to light thin plastic materials used.
Other than that awesome bike....
