After a longer ride today with this gear combo it may be TOO low. The bike is fun because of the wheelies, but 1st is useless above 5000 and secong isn't much better. Third now feels like 1st once did as far as the wheelies are concerned. I'll try somemore combos before I settle on anything long term. Maybe stock front and +2 out back will be next. That will require a chain to do.

NO! What I'm saying is 1st and 2nd gear will set you on your ass in rapid fashion at anything over 1/2 throttle.

OH! and don't get me wrong the wheelies are a blast. What I'm saying is for max performance it's geared a little to low. A slightly taller geared 10R will most likely run off and hide. It's hard to win a race with the front tire in the air.

Oh ok. I just could not see how that could make the bike too buzy to ride on the highway. Not disputing anyone because i dont have one. I just know it didn't bother my 12 much and I'm lookin Real Hard at an 06 10. I've ridden an 04 with -1,+1 and it seemed fine to me but i don't drag knees.

There are several things about the final drive on the 10 that aren't up to snuff. First off is the RK chain. Tight won't even come close to describing this hunk of shit. The rear wheel spacers are way way too tight in the seals. Talk about drag in the system. The first rule as we all know is if it won't roll free it won't run fast. Some time spent getting this thing loosened up at the seals and a better chain will give nice gains.

Well, I tried to throw in the +2 rear with the stock front this weekend, but it wouldn't fit with the stock chain... I had a -1 front to put on also, but couldn't get the sprocket off... so I got nothin but stock gears, and 2 sprockets for Ebay. lol I might have a shop throw on the front, but I'm gonna do a track day on it stock first to see if I need them.

I installed a DID erv 525 chain and installed low friction non-contact rubber sealed bearings in both wheels from new and while it may not sound like much the rear wheel rotates with much less friction/stiction than stock.

But then info isn't cheap these days.
I suspect any bearing retailer can supply them however i purchased mine from Bearing Works. www.bearingworks.com 888-773-8872
Quantity 2 Part # 6004vv
Quantity 2 Part # 6204vv
Quantity 1 Part # 6205vv
BTW they are NSK bearings.

Is that true??? If it is are there any tricks to taking it off???

No tricks Pete. Some people had no problem removing the CS nut and others had a b**ch of a time so until you begin your project we won't know which yours is.
