I'm using that as an example of the kind of loud sportbike sound I'm used to. are the micron's very loud

D&D. Loud and sound like crap.
But if you want the loudest and that's all that matters then just take off the muffler and run straight out the mid-pipe. Can't get much louder than that.

Might as well rig up a slash cut yourself and have it dump out the back of the fairing if you really want it retarded loud.

Muzzy Titanium, stainless or Carbon Oval canister because on the end are threaded bolts enabling you to remove the end cap taking out the fiberglass or baffle then putting end cap back on...The sound is real loud !!!

97 ZX-9r with full Muzzy system, gutted. Yes it was very loud and still had a great sound too, you can't beat a Muzzy on a Kawi. It sounds even better when you blow by someone, but they been looking around for you cause they heard you coming long before you got there.

Any drag pipe with a megaphone -no baffle whatsoever- so loud you need earplugs just to look at it with the engine off......

EZ...Then you want a Muzzy pipe with oval canister and just remove the end cap and baffle...Start 'er up and you will be in love!!!
I went to a car/bike show like that on a few occasions, ended up getting into a loudest pipe competion with the Harley Davidson open pipe guys...Guess who won!!!...You had to hear the 12 with open Muzzy pipe going into the rev limiter, the judges heard it over the Harleys
I beat the Harleys not even moving

wow ez2remember82, aren't u such a stud it's that kinda shit that helps gives sportbikes a badpublic image. of course if this is strictly for track use, i retract my comments, but i'm guessing it's not.

Freek, you bring a good balance to this thread. Bless you my son for voicing your opinion.
In the OHV community, so much land is being closed because of disregard of sound regulations already in place, that it is the number one issue affecting their future.

"pull off the header too"....LMFAO!
Remember, "loud" (w/o internal baffle for example) will hurt overall power output. Uncontrolled sound pressure waves will effect flow through the can.

If he drops a valve then the bike won't run. That might be a good thing because then the neighbors will have some peace and quiet.

This one is pretty throaty and made more power than the Akra end can- 4" shorter or you can cut down your stock pipe.

If that's a Murray(sp?) then I can tell ya from an experience last year - LOUD!!!
My buddy had one on his slightly breathed on Busa - he passed me doin bout 170 while we were on the freeway.
Oh jeebus!
I retaliated, but that's another story.
I will say that ridin next to that thing was not much fun - physically and of course the noise was a real fuzzz catcher from blocks away.

freek, this is for u
the only reason he heard me was due to the fact that that part of town has no buildings or houses to stop the sound. the super trap wasen't louder than a harley. What i'm trying to get at is i don't ride to see how long it takes to get pulled over I ride for the enjoyment of being on two wheels, but I like to sound good and different while doing it. The type of sound I am looking for is something deep at idle then progressively sound louder and more racier.

ah, that's a whole bunch different from just "loudest" (which was my dumbass goal on my car when i was 18 too).
if anything, u'll generally have better luck with that goal with the quieter manufacturers, not that any of them are anywhere near stock sound levels (except maybe kerry's special order). the louder brands (D&D and the like) tend to sound really raspy, not deep at all. muzzys, jardine, areaP all have ncie deep tones, along with a number of other systems (those are the only ones i know well enoguh to comment on, others can give you reports on other brands like TI Force, acra, sato, etc etc).
