Headlights - should have 2 hi-beams or just one?

I bought a used 10R and noticed when I hit my high beams, that just the right side light gets brighter... is my left high-beam burned out, or is this how they are? If someone could look at theirs and tell me, that would be appreciated.

The lighting system sucks, this winter I am going to try to modify some H4 (dual beam) bulbs to fit in H7 (single beam) sockets. Then wire it so both sides are on while using the low beams and have real high beams. The wiring is a cake walk, making the H4 bulbs fit will be a different story.

Don't forget that the reflectors in both assemblies are completely different as well - having high/low beam capability in both headlamps function is gonna be interesting.

Actually they are pretty close to the same thing, I looked at them very carefully, one is just adjusted higher. The cool part is the H4 bulb has a built in reflector that allows the beam to be adjusted higer and allow the high beam to project very far forward. I want to make it the same as the 12 setup which is very, very good.

True race bike with headlights?

don't see a need to define a true race bike but have ya heard of GRAND PRIX ENDURANCE RACING? I guess not ...

read ....

RACING - SUZUKA CIRCUIT
Contributed by John Crossley:

Background:

The most famous race-course in Japan is Suzuka, in Mie Prefecture (ŽOdŒ§) (several hours due east of Kyoto, a bit south-west of Nagoya). Each year both the Japanese round of World Grand Prix racing and an 8-Hour Endurance race (Hachitai ???W'Ï, short for HACHIJIKANTAIKYUU ???WŽžŠÔ'ϋv) are held there. The GP is usually around the end of April, and the Hachitai around the end of July. The Hachitai generally runs from about 11:30 to 19:30; for the GP, GP2 starts at around 12, GP1 at around 13:15, and GP3 at around 14:30.

Or ask Kenny Roberts about endurance racing into the night ...night racing been around for some time... ...http://www.motorcycledaily.com/011105pressrelease1.htm

Have fun!!
