lightest literbike
so who has the lightest literbike? 10R, GSXR1000, whatever. people hav taken 60lbs or more off ZX12Rs and busas, but never heard numbers on 1000cc bikes.

The published numbers I have seen state the GSXR-1000 as the lightest @ 365 lbs. I also heard the ZX-10 was going to be shedding some of it's Kate Moss like bulk . So It may be the lightweight king again.

just in case i was unclear, i'm talking about modified bikes, not stock numbers.
ikezixxer, i beleive trenace could answer that question about as well as anyone.

Check out this busa, it dropped 70lbs off of the wet weight. The weight mods are at the bottom of the page.

Before you believe the numbers Suzuki publishes for dry weight, be aware they consider things like tires and batteries to be wet. They claimed the 03 was lighter than the 02 and it weighed 7 lbls more with half a tank of gas. In short, they lie. All the jap brands cheat on the weight figures, Suzuki is just the most brazen.
