oh yes I just went to the dealer and they took pics and are emailing them to kaw so they can get auth to replace the tail. They looked at mine and said I was no way in fault. Mine cracked all the way around the allenbolts.

I noticed on the front fender of my 05 magma red 10r, that the red is literally peeling out from under the front fender lip. plastic is fine, seems to be bad paint. that was with only 1008 miles on the odo.

oh well, im re-painting the bike anyways.

One of the screw mounts broke on my tail. The bike had never been down and I don't do wheelies. I went to my selling dealer and after 3 trips to the dealer they wouldn't even make a call to Kawasaki on my behalf. I went to another dealer and a 2 minute phone call later, they had authorization to replace my tail. The locking tabs on the top piece had also broken off on mine.

The plastic tabs on my tail light broke and now my tailight is loose. I just assumed that it was from my wife grabbing it when I went to stop. I never really tried to get it fixed under warranty because I thought that it was my fault. It kind of makes me wonder though if other people are having same problem.

I have a broken tab or 2. Always fingered it was from some well meaning dork pushing the bike onto the trailer.

Very, common problem on other forums as well. I decided to fix mine myself with an $11 plastic repair kit at www.plastex.net. I used this stuff before and it uses a poweder and liquid activator and seems to chemically weld the crack plastics together for even a stronger hold than befor. It comes with an instructional CD with video instructions. They have more higher price kits(i.e different colors)
but their started kit is all you need for this repair and others plastic repairs if need be.

The best part about doing this repair yourself is no dealer downtime and the repair is hidden from view and should weld better than OEM.
