Question about the 10R's handlebars

For the 04/05 10R...what size in mm do I need for clipons to replace the handlebars?

Is there any particular make/model anyone has used and recommends for or against?

The price for a pair of aftermarket clipons is cheaper than one oem handlebar...

Thanks in advance.

Dunno, as I don't even have a 10R, but I did see this produce when looking for bars for the 12 and thought it seemed interesting -- can't vouch for it, just that it looks interesting:

http://scaryfastracing.net/rbar-info.html

Adjustable without looking like shit, and vibration-isolating too.

Or for regular stuff, without those features, I liked:

Simply from what I saw on the page, not from any direct experience or hearing of such.

I actually went with something that's only for the 12 though.

I put on a set of Heli Bars. $185.00. Up 2" back 1.5" way more comfy for my old bones.

50MM handle bars are what you need for the 10R, problem is trying to find some way to mount your Front Brake Res.

I had ordered the Vortex clip ons and they did not have a mount for the res. Check with Woodcraft they probably offer something to fix that problem and they also will beable to confirm the right size clip ons, better to double check that be sorry.. My major problem is I am only home 2 weeks every three monthes so I prefer to ride versus work on the Bike.

mounting the brak res shouondt be a big issue, a hole drilled and tapped into the front of the top triple clamp will work. Dont over tighten it when you mount it and use locktite....

i have the R bars from scarryfast racing on mine and i really like them. i moved them up about an inch and back about an inch and they are great. also it cuts out 80% of the vibration in the bars and they are set up for the brake res. the quality is top notch. i took a 525 mile ride into arkansas and my hands, arms, and back never got sore. i highly recomend them...

Arkansas? Did your butt get sore, or were you not visiting relatives?
