06 10r

So I'm hearing that the 06 10r is a new animal?
And Its being tested as we speak...

How true is this? Is anyone in the know on this?

I'm wondering if the cylinder head and stroke are the same?

There's a fair chance that this Wednesday's MCN will have a story, and if so I'll post it -- if it doesn't then almost certainly next week's issue will.

WHAT IS WITH THESE BRITISH BASTARDS?!??!

That magazine is supposed to be out weekly on Wednesday!

It is now Wednesday!

Sure, it's only 12:19 AM Eastern on Wednesday, BUT they are five hours ahead of us or something in the UK so it's probably 5:19 in the morning there now and yet the magazine is not up on their website!

Piss-poor service I say!

Easy Tiger !!!
My guess is that MCN have been riding bikes for longer than you.

I've got a paper copy on my desk and I'll work out what's in it and post it if you like.

oh and BTW, I'm not a BASTARD. But thanks for asking.....

Huh? Where did this come from?

Could be true, could be not, depends on the age of the individual MCN staffer and when they started riding... in any case seems totally irrelevant?

Thanks, but the e-copy is up now, now that we're actually during the day in Wednesday instead of 5 in the morning in Britain.

My guess is that you missed the obviously-over-the-top facetiousness at my own impatience for the result?

Apparently you genuinely thought I was calling them bastards for not having their Wednesday copy up at 5 in the morning, before even the start of the business day? Well, perhaps the absurdity of complaining at just barely past midnight my time that that day's issue wasn't out yet wasn't obvious enough -- perhaps I should have made it even more over the top so as to more clearly be humorous, or alternately put "THIS IS A JOKE, ACTUALLY IT'S A GREAT MAG THAT COMES OUT EVERY WEDNESDAY DURING THE DAY BUT NOT NECESSARILY BEFORE SUNRISE" in capital letters. My error I suppose.

Anyhow, turns out not this week for the 2006 10R news... most likely then next week they'll have the scoop.

There was a cool item on a new CCM "street-tracker" type bike this week though, as well as a good comparo of the new Kawasaki ER-6 vs the SV-650.

Can you imagine an all new second generation 10? And technology keeps on marching right by my 12, it slips further and further into obsolesce without it appears any help from it's creator to pull it up into that place called "the cutting edge"

I hope that Kawasaki can somehow have made a big advance without making the bike physically smaller. It may be that that is an impossible hope though.

These are great days for motorcycles for guys and gals that are 5'4" though!

The dealer show is this month (or at least I thought it was), and so I would think pics will be this month. I could be wrong though.

Damn!!!!!! That's what I get from going by what someone else said rather than reading a direct source on that.

Then indeed there well might not be news next week.

No Intermot Munich this year. It takes place every other year. It's moved to Koln for '06. Fiero Milano coming up in November. All the tasty new stuff will be displayed there. We'll be there covering all the latest.
