Best way to launch at the Strip
Alright guys, I need a lesson on launching at the drag strip. I tried my 10 out and got beat by a 600! BOO! I know stop it. All you guys running in the 9's what is your launch RPM and technique? How many 9's runs did you get on your clutch? ( I don't have much money) I know there isn't alot of room to make up for mistakes in the 1320 and if another 10 sec bike gets the jump, your going to be lucky to catch him. Please give me some tips.
Thanks

Start with the top. All good strippers start with the top. Save your coochy for last.

I guess you're right I wouldn't want to scare anyone at first...or make them jealous.

Practice, practice, practice. Try different RPMs. When you get it right it will pick the front wheel up a few inches and rocket away. Too much and it spins or wheelies. To little and it feels boggy.

finding the perfect r p m range for your weight and gearing to keep the bike from bogging is the right idea, you will need to practice slidding out the clutch and locking the throttle, once you get that down so that when you leave the clutch is out and the throttle is locked and you are tucked in tight, within less that 5 feet of track, 9's will come in easier, and you must tuck your body in completely ,any wind resistance will slow you down , try and look threw the shield when shifting the whole time, and keep your chest over the tank , from the tree, trust me do these things and have the right gearing for your weight , youll run nines all day !!!!!!!!!!
