KLEEN air removal??? what it is...

So...what is the KLEEN air removal all about? I know it is taking away the recycled hot air from the airbox but what are there benefits and/or draw-backs? Who has done this mod here? All information is gladly accepted!!! I will be searching in the mean time but please those that have done this let me know everything.

All the Kleen Air does in inject air into the outgoing exhaust gases to help more completely burn same.

Most of us remove because it causes a lot of backfiring with an aftermarket pipe.
