The paperwork arrived before the bike... So I just got the factory pitch for the GTPP (extended warranty) and the contingency application for the new 636.
The bike arrives Monday
I was kind of excited to fill out the contingency form. I will wait to send it in, though, until after the first race on this bike in September.
KB, XL, have you gents run into the kit ECU on the 636 yet? I've been hearing reports of it's effect on the 6RR.
So far, the bodywork, paperwork, rear shock, left sidecover, framesliders, and spools have made it here before the bike! Only the brake lines and paint will come after!
I'll need to set the bike up and then take it to a track in August (can't get the body painted in time for weekend after next's trackdays). A trip back to So Cal may be in order next month.

I've tested it with the 10 only. It's very nice. Expensive, but very tuneable. If I was too chose without limitations of budget, I would by the KMC/ECU. I would it to be just as good on the 636.

Kerry, as I understand it, the ecu is under $500, but the programming cable (and it's software...) is similarly priced.
I'm going to check with some of the local racers and see if anyone wants to go in on a joint purchase of the cable/software.
I think though unless I can find a way to keep it inexpensive, I'm better off spending the $ on an advanced riding school, and worry about the HP later.
