Got tagged
Damn CHP got me for 83 in a 55, I had just slowed down from annihilating a ZX9 and had just crested a hill and there he was. I had a radar detector in my pocket but I failed to check to see if it had automatically turned off. Which it had. Shit. Good thing for traffic school. The cop or should I say pudgy donut hound was a real jerk. The guy on the 9 didn't have a motorcycle license but told him that he had a permit. I think the cop was just pissed because there isn't a Krispy Kreme for miles and he was in withdrawal. Jerk.

Tickets are always bummer. But 28 mph over the speed limit and the cop's a jerk for writing you a ticket?
I got one last year for 74 mph in a 50 mph zone out in the middle of no where. I deserved it. I was hoping my "yes sir, no sir" politeness might get me some slack cut (but no such luck this time). The only thing that really bummed me out, is that I had just passed 2 guys on Dual Sport bikes coming the opposite direction and they didn't warn me....

His attitude made him a jerk. Long straight road almost zero traffic. So Mr wonderful has to turn around crank it up to 90-100 to catch us so soon. I'm surprised he could turn the wheel that quickly with that beer gut of his. Then start in with his lectures about how they had an accident on Monitor and Ebbotts. That is where he should be patroling, not on the straight road hills where you can coast and break the speed limit IMHO. And a non jerk would have given some very, very polite people a break at least in the speed.
k bryant ,you seem to take exception to everythng I post. Did I piss you off or something?
Fish, you got it.

Ted, absolutely not in the least. Not sure where you see that I take exception to any of your posts? Post away. As I indicated, tickets are always a bummer no matter how you cut it.

You just slowed down from "annihilating a ZX9" and were still going almost 30 over the speed limit and you are upset that the cop wrote you a ticket instead of giving you a warning? The way I see it you are fortunate that he didn't see you "annihilate" the ZX9. Racing on the highway tickets can be a real b*tch to deal with sometimes.

I gave the guy a head start and blew by him somewhere between 145-160. I was slowing down at the crest of a hill and there he was. Believe me if he saw us racing I would have kept going and found a place to turn off and wait. Taken off my jacket and escaped. There is no way he coud have caught the plate.

...Ted...you should always carry a coupla' donuts widju...you just never know when you're gonna need 'em...hey, you have the 'faster' green one, right?...perhaps a little white panel here, some red KryspyKreme lettering there...you can tell the next cop that your making an emergency donut run for the chief...and remind him that he doesn't wanna piss-off the chief with late donuts...and don't forget your donut-shaped knee pucks, ya' hooligan!

Good idea! If I would have waved a donut in front of this round boy, all would have been good. I wonder if I got a Kryspy Kreme employee card, maybe that would have done the trick.

When I was in California riding my 12 a couple weeks ago, I realized how hard it is to see CHP. The cars were black, and they sat in the median area of the interstate parked rear toward the brush, so from afar they merged right in with the surroundings. My radar detector saved me at least three times.
Cadillac Escalade wanted to race me on the Interstate, I backed off and used him as bait and kept a good distance behind him keeping with his speed. My radar detector went off, so I slowed down and that Escalade whizzed by the hidden CHP. The CHP waited for me to pass but he radared me going the posted speed limit.
So the CHP pulls out behind me and I'm like oooh great here I am getting profiled and am gonna get pulled over. I have yet to test my fake insurance papers out of state but here I was with a WA licensed motorcycle and a HUGE mountaineering backpack strapped to the back of my leather jacket so I think he could tell I was on some sort of a trip.
CHP decided to speed by me and off he went.
Two minutes later, I passed the Escalade being pulled over by the CHP.

...you think the Vics are hard to spot, try spotting CHPs Camaros with those slim-line LED overheads...just be glad that Kawasaki doesn't make a deal with CHP for some black&white ZX-12Rs or something like that...now that's a job I wouldn't mind having...with a generous amount of proper, State-sponsored all-day-track-day high-speed pursuit 'training', of course...just gimme a thigh-mounted ticketbook, LADAR, fully vented leather suit, ICON Titanium gloves, SIDI boots, Shoei Syncrotech, and a 2-pack of donuts and I'll be good to go
