2006 ZX 10R Totally Revamped!!!

As mentioned on Motorcycledaily.com..........:

For those of us who think this board is dead... lets find more info on this one!!

"On the heels of our recent article speculating Yamaha may have an all-new R1 for 2006, we must remind our readers that Kawasaki and Honda are also expected to introduce major changes to the ZX-10R and CBR1000RR this September.

Indeed, Kawasaki appears committed to a two-year cycle for its sportbikes. The ZX-6R was virtually all-new for 2005, just two years after the entirely new 2003 model was introduced. Next year should be the year of the open class sportbike, as all three Japanese rivals attempt to topple the Suzuki GSX-R1000."

So there........Can't wait..............Anyone wany a awesome 04 black 10R with tons of stuff on it??

Lets hope it will not have an undertail!!!!!

But why buy a new 10R when you could buy a new 12R?

THIS I gotta see...new...lighter...stronger...faster than a speeding ticket...more powerful than a local union...able to leap tall parking structures in a single bound....

i certainly see a 2 year cycle as excessive, but also incredibly exciting. can't wait to see how much of an improvement they can make after just 2 years. will it be as big a change as we usually see after 4 years or a smaller jump? only serious downside i see is the per-unit cost of R&D is bound to increase significantly. what will this mean for the sticker price?

I dont think the sticker price will change. Explain to me why the price of the 12 dropped after two years of initial release and then this year started to creep back up.

Dean said the 2000 12 had an MSRP of 12k, my 02 was 11k, and last winter the 12 was listed on Kawi's website for 11,500 before they reduced it to the current 11,300.

I've been saying forever to expect a two-year cycle run. It's great!!! Bikes are selling like crazy from the showroom floors.

And I'll take first dibs on that black 10r rubberpants!
