It's international "Slam Redelk" day
Well well... good old Redelk has something "wrong" with his "hand" ... it's his LEFT hand... he's unable to type or respond.. he's bitter and grump...
one can only speculate as to what caused his left-handed malady ..
so boy and girls... kick a brother when he's down... 
This'll probably be one of yer only chances of getting a word in edgewise without getting a 50 page biblical retort from him!

Nope, can't do it. That man just seems to be a real genuine nice guy (of course perhaps I don't know him as well as you do). Plus, he sent me a rain suit for our next wet ride. Now since I've never owned one, that's a pretty nifty little gift so I can't bag on him.....

Here's a thread killer for you....
a little over a week ago

Here's the part you'll really love fish... it is likely due to a severe allergic reaction hotel hand cream I was using at races in Cresson. About a week after we got back, I started getting little blisters in between my first and second fingers. It spread a little, but not that much, so I just used cortisone rub, which dried my skin out further.
After another week, the blisters got bigger and popping, exposing the under layers of skin. Three weeks later, my left hand (the by far worse effected) is numb, tingling and I couldn't make a fist. The inside of my two fingers is basically one big blister and the skin is coming off. There is blistering elsewhere on both of my hands. Some areas seem to be getting to the "bigger blister" stage, while other areas remain basically unchanged from when the bumps started showing.
After seeing a doctor and getting a steroid shot, the blistering got better, but my hand dried out so bad that it started cracking open the flesh around the joint areas. Saw aspecialist yesterday and will be starting to make the muliple visits to a allergy doctor next month. The specialist said it will run it's course in about another 3 weeks or so.

damn redelk, that's nasty! from lotion?!? have u contacted the manufacturer and asked if they've had similar incidents? thinking maybe it was an oddball reaction between teh cream and something like brake fluid, otherwise u'd think they woudl have seen this in testing.

YCIS, Like most guys that wrench on a semi regular basis, I have latex, nitrile and mechanics' gloves. It is those few times I'll not wear any of them is what seems to be the times my hands get the dirtiest. For decades, I've use lacquer thinner from work (much strionger than "store bought") to clean my hands. Works better and quicker than any hand cleaner and also sucks all the moisture out of my hands. So, I normally use Lubriderm.
At Cresson, I forgot to bring my Lubriderm and all I had was the little hotel bottles of hand cream. Didn't work worth a crap, so I used quite a bit (four little bottles worth). We believe it was the type and the amount that caused the reaction. Last weekend, at Texas World, my skin was cracking so bad, not only was it bleeding, but it hurt like hell.
Like an idiot, I covered my hand with Lubriderm and then put a latex glove over it. For about 8 hours (the length of the endurance ace). By the following day (last Sunday), my hand looked more like a swollen softball. Having to drive 500+ mile home, pulling the 24" trailer in the rain didn't help except that it kept my hand above my heart (supposedly kept the swelling down).
The doctor switched me over to Cetaphil and it seems to really work better than anything I've tried before. He also suggested that I uuse crazy glue ("nu skin") on the big cracks, but I have to wait for the swelling to go back down. Needless to say, typing with one hand (as well as doing graphics for work) SUX!

It only makes sense to have me check her out, just to be safe.
She's cute.
Not for nothin' but you are in for a long ride with that hand. The blisters will heal and stop but the skin will keep sloughing off for a long time.

Blisters are gone. Using wire cutters and nail clippers to remove the dead skin as it breaks loose. Looks kinda funny with all the straight cuts on the old skin. Right now, about 1/3 has come off and more is breaking loose as the swelling goes down.
