Somethin's gotta give...
What the hell??? KTM is going to produce a V-6 street bike! That's the very heart and soul that attracted me to Kawasaki. Now the Japanese bikes are ALL the same and someone else all of the sudden GET'S IT !!! I don't care if it's the lightest or the quickest or the fastest...I'm sure it'll be light, quick ,and fast, but it'll be FREAKIN' different ! I'm I WRONG ??? It's called paradyme paralisis ( if that's how it's spelled).

I guess sometimes I just don't get it. This would be one of those times.

Try spelling it p-a-r-a-d-i-g-m. Your paralysis needed some work as well.

yeh what Marco said.I guess what I'm trying to say is in the begining Kawasaki had triples , twin cam fours and sixes and was copied by the others. Then it seems EVERYONE settled on the SAME bike with different names like R-1 , GSXR, CBR and ZX , all the same bike with slight differences. Have we reached the end of the design curve of the enternal combustion engine,or are we just afraid to explore TOTAL change? Will the future bring a millimeter longer swingarm and two or three ounces lighter turnsignal switch , or will Honda lead the way with a V-5 1200 VFR sport touring bike. What do you think is in the near future ? I'm interested in YOUR ideas.

I'll have a packet of what ever he's on....! it's bound to be good for something.
Zammy that was all in the past look at what wins races what sells don't see any V6's in MotoGP to may penalties they are looking at limiting speed on the current bikes now as the tracks arn't upto the speeds. KTM have said they will not race this bike ( they already have a V4 race engine ) it is purely a bike to set them apart from the rest, a sales ploy to launch them as a "road bike maker"
I would wait to see if it really happens who knows what might happen if it takes off they could start a trend ?

Zammy, There are bikes that have all aluminum 572 ci motors in them, putting out 800+ HP. I don't see you designing any bikes and manufacturing them. I don't see your name on any bikes. Quit griping. KMC came out with the twin spar frame (if I'm not mistaken).

Oh, and they are not the SAME bike. Same style, NOT same bike.

What the hell are you talking about? First it was the bikes, then it was the internal combustion engine. Do you build motors? Have you ever attempted to build an engine? Come on Einstein, Henry Ford. Zammy, I'd like to see you come up with something new.

Yikes, calm down guys,I didn't mean to get your bloomers in a bunch.I understand that V-5 race bikes WIN races and V-5 street bikes are coming. I also understand that ALL kinds of engines have been used ,including rotory , inline twins, threes ,fours ,and sixes, boxers, and Vs of every conceivable shape. Alot of them have failed on the track and on the sales floor. It dosen't always have to be about race bikes on the street. Does it ? The fact that KTM will build a V-6 as a sales ploy Is my point EXACTLY. They are displaying a rather large set of balls, bold new and apart from the crowd. No I don't build motors and yes I may sound like I'm griping. I'm just wondering what will we be riding ten years from now. I'm still interested in your ideas, even if you think I'm nutz.
