Akrapovic s/steel full race system ?????
Has anyone installed one of these with a titanium can and compared the results to stock?

I have fitted a full Ti race system and can and the results are significant over the stock system as would be expected.
As for the SS system I don't know but I would assume the gain to be simular Akra make many varied systems and it depends on what one you buy, a full race system would not be available for road use as the noise level is prohibitive.

Ahh yes, louder but no more illegal than the way I ride the bike.
That's good to hear. The s/steel system is identical in size and shape to the ti product, only slightly heavier, so HP improvements should also be identical.
Thanks
I have also been told the ZX10R remaps itself automatically. That there is a wideband sensor in the head on the exhaust side that feeds back info to the ECU, therefore, no need to remap for the pipe.
Anyone know if this is true or not?
Cheers

The system is on and on the road the bike feels awesome at the top with a ton of mid range. I never use below 4K to know how different it is down there.
I emailed Akrapovic and they insist that the system is designed to go on a stock bike, no mods.
The only tuning thing I have noticed is it seems that on the overrun I get the occasional pop from the exhaust.
It now power wheelies 3rd gear. Roll it on from 4K and hang on.

I'll be testing the performance gain on the road this weekend.
My friend has a K4 Gixxer 1000 with a Micron Serpent, remap, k&n filer and 16t front spoocket.
I ran him with only a 16t sprocket on my 10 and he marginally pulled away.
We both weigh 82kg and are both running 98RON unleaded.
Now I've got the 16t sprocket and the race Akrapovic.
Happy to post the results if anyone is interested.

the news is the pipe works well. We are now dead even. I can get away a fair bit quicker and stay in front due to the tall 1st gear. If we roll on from about 140kph, we are a dead heat till both bikes are reading 299.
His bike has been on the dyno and came up with 164HP at the back tyre.
