Which slip on ? (or does it matter?)

The time has come to release some more potential from my 10. I hear that nearly 10HP can be had from a slip on muffler.

Anyone got any experiences?

I'm very satisfied with the sound and performance (and looks) of my Area P. Top notch stuff. In fact, I'm seriously considering their new Extreme slip on for the track.

10 does seem a bit extreme. Maybe 10 when you include a valve adjustment and MR9

Slip-On + MR9 = maybe 10 hp.
Slip-On by itself - seems to be averaging in the 3 - 5 range. Sounds cool, looks cool, and you can save 3 or 4 lbs as well.

Muzzy says an addition of 2% for the bolt-on, 4% for the slip-on, and 6% for the system. I have a Muzzy TI slip-on and love the way it looks and it sounds even better. Real throaty, not tinny like alot of the cans out there.

Still stock for me, rather spend it on suspension, although you can never say never.

thanks all. I suppose a slip on with no cat and without those baffles is sure to help it get a few more HP.

By the way, to answer you question about does it matter which brand slip on you buy, I say not really. I think it was Sport Rider that did a comparison this year and there wasn't enough difference to worry about unless you're racing or using every last HP for some reason. Price range, on the other hand, was significant.

I use a Hindle slip on and am very happy with it. Great sound and better pull in all gears. I will post pics soon.
