Which slip on ? (or does it matter?) The time has come to release some more potential from my 10. I hear that nearly 10HP can be had from a slip on muffler.

I'm very satisfied with the sound and performance (and looks) of my Area P. Top notch stuff. In fact, I'm seriously considering their new Extreme slip on for the track.

Slip-On + MR9 = maybe 10 hp.
Slip-On by itself - seems to be averaging in the 3 - 5 range. Sounds cool, looks cool, and you can save 3 or 4 lbs as well.

Muzzy says an addition of 2% for the bolt-on, 4% for the slip-on, and 6% for the system. I have a Muzzy TI slip-on and love the way it looks and it sounds even better. Real throaty, not tinny like alot of the cans out there.

Get what ever you like? If its sound or looks. You really can't go wrong. I have a Akrapovic carbon slip-on. Here a pic of it. http://www.sportbikez.net/picture/3196

By the way, to answer you question about does it matter which brand slip on you buy, I say not really. I think it was Sport Rider that did a comparison this year and there wasn't enough difference to worry about unless you're racing or using every last HP for some reason. Price range, on the other hand, was significant.
