Anybody switch from a ZX-12R?
I posted this on another board, but wanted to get feedback from this site as well.
Did anybody on this site go from a ZX-12R to the ZX-10R? If so, what are the pros and cons of the switch. I am thinking about trading in my '00 ZX-12R for a ZX-10R and am looking for comments. BTW, I am 6'1". Any issues with the ZX-10R being too small?

Yes. I'm 6'1" as well, and one of my criteria in picking a 1000cc bike was finding one I fit on. Couldn't fit on the R1, no way I could tuck in on it. The 10R let me get right behind the windshield in a tuck, so was a definate plus for me. The pegs are high, but not too high, and I've done a hundred miles at a time on mine. In some ways, it was easier to ride it far than the 12R was. Because my legs were tucked up higher, I was carrying less weight on my 'package', which always seemed to be a problem on the 12R.

Keep them both if you can! I am also 6'-1" and the bike is just fine as swft and fish have said. I agree it is not hard to tuck on this bike.

I still have them both (02/12R & 04/10R) now I sorta dread riding the 12 as the 10 is believe it or not more ass friendly, as I think that my arms I find are not streching to reach the bars etc. Anyway the 10 feels way lighter and easier to motor around in traffic and pretty much everywhere else. Needless to say I am very impressed! BTW I'm 5'10" 200 lbs of pure fukkin intelligence! lol

I switched from the 12R to the 10 after I wrecked my 12. The only time I miss my 12 is on the highway for long rides. I put 300 miles days in on the 10 with no issues. With the coming of the Goldwing in the spring the 10 is the perfect compliment to the wing. However if I werent getting the Wing for the superslab, I would prolly have stuck with the 12. I am not 6'1, I am 5"9 and 200 lbs, and they both fit me well. Though the 12 was a bit more comfortable on the long boring straights......

I got a 10R after I sold my wrecked 12R. I'm 6' 1" and thought that the 12R was a bit more comfy, but the 10R is fine.
Having the 10R and an Electra Glide, I'm covered for everything I wanna do.

Do you miss the power of the 12, or does the lighter weight make up for the decrease in power when accelerating?

I have riden the 10, but own a 2002 12...
2 things I dont like about the 10, the Tach is barely readable and not enough wind protection...I like it though, not enough to give up the 12 sorry!!!
