I would like to know about velocity stacks? There is another company making some too that out. I don't know cost but they claim 2 to 4 hp gain.

bears are the best staks i have seen, there made from billet and they dont compress like others. Everyone thats used bears staks on the 12 had pretty impressive results. I seen a few dyno results with his staks and they were 4hp at minimum on back to back runs with and without them. At speed is where they really are suppose to make power. Seen 1 guy make a bunch of runs at 197 mph on his 12r or busa (cant remember which. He put the staks in and went like 203 mph. Seen reports of bear saying the staks were making at least 5 hp on the dyno for the zx 10r. They are spendy though, but if they do make that much power its very worth it.

Billet ZX10 STAX!!
(8 Piece set)
Add 3 to 5 True hp to upper midrange with these finely machined stacks!
Product designers:
Factory Pro designed these in just 8 different dyno runs - That's what you can do with the Factory Pro EC997 dyno and Marc Salvisberg designed Test Routines - and what you couldn't without 'em.......
(also - note that this picture doesn't show the final stack sizes.)
Also - Running 4 short stacks might be better than stock, (as the originals are on 1 and 4) isn't anywhere near as good as the new Factory Pro stacks - the Factory Pro stacks are about 3 True HP better than 4 short stacks -

On a bike, that's huge. It's not 3, it's 3 - 5.

Stacks were tested at Maxton during top speed trails this weekend and the results were slower trapspeeds.

300 for 3 hp is not nuts, you pay 350-550 for 3-5 real hp on a slip on exhaust if your lucky. 1000-1500 for a dam full exhaust for 7-10 hp and another 300 for a pc. so think about that for a moment. besides it was 239 bucks. hell with the filter, they dont do squat for hp. seen a bmc on the dyno with a 10r did absolutly nothing on back to back runs. 239 bucks for 3 hp is fairly cheap

Hey guys,
We did try Bears stacks on the Coby's 10 that Chad rode at Maxton but the test are inconclusive.
After several base runs in the 201-202mph range the stacks were changed to Bears short stacks and only two passes were made due to running out of time. No fuel adjustments were made, just dropped them in and the bike ran both passes at 200 & 201. Anyone that has run LSR can testify that ANYTHING can change 1 mph, such as a slight wind change or an elbow movement. A lot more testing needs to be done but time ( or lack of ) was the enemy this past week-end.
My ZX12R was the test bike at Maxton a couple years ago and Bears short stacks proved a performance gain so I have no doubt his abilty will help the ZX10R as well.
