tested: muzzy frame sliders

i was involved in a hit and run this morning an my 10. i ended up highsiding over a curb at around 50 mph. the frame slider survived even though it bent the flat aluminium bracket a little. i suspect had it been a low side the bracket wouldnt have even bent. the frame is un touched. but im not a happy camper

I hear ya there...

When I highsided my ZZR1200 last year, that was a major bummer. But fuck, I came out with a whole-body bruise and a road cherry the side of a quarter on one elbow, so I was pretty philisophical about it. Good luck on getting it back together. You looking at plastics, subframe, front wheel, forks maybe triple tree?

trikchop- Most important thing is that you are OK. If you send me you're damaged slider parts so that we can evaluate them we will replace them at no charge.

I can vouch for Rob's offer. They've taken care of getting me replacement parts after my crash.

Hey Rob, any news on whether you think a retrofit of the sliders is needed? I know you discussed some ideas with me on the phone. Just wondering if you had anything concrete yet.

We have made a slight modification that will prevent the threads in the bracket from pulling out . Like ZX10 Guys did. All new kits include this mod. We are sending updated parts to all existing customers at no charge. If you bought sliders prior to this date and don't receive the update parts contact MUZZYS sales dept.

Rob, I purchased mine through my local dealer (Kawasaki Sports Center in Little Rock, AR). How would I go about getting the updated parts? If I need to contact your sales dept., what info is needed to get the order processed (i.e. date purchased, dealer's invoice number, etc.)?

Red,
And others, if you bought "through" someone else, email me with the name of the original purchaser so we can do a work around. Include their name and also your name and address. If you are the purchaser of record you will receive the upgrade automatically.
