Pics of my rear (nice and smooth)

I think this is the best setup for our bikes.

Rather inexpensive

Total cost was $45 including the cost of a neon bulb instead of LED for the License Plate.

You could do this for $25 if you wanted.

at night.

I like... what kind of turn signals did you use? I want to set mine up that way but kinda worried about the legality....

It is real easy.

I took off all the rear mudflap (4 bolts)

Then I took off the top covers and seat.

Then take your tag and position it where you will want it.

Mine is down under the battery tray.

Mark the location of the mounting holes where the plate needs to attach.

The black plastic is very soft. I used a screwdriver to puch the holes through the plastic.

Then from the top of the bike I punched two small bolts through the holes.

Mount the plate to those bolts using 2 nuts and some lock-tight.

You will need to place a small bend in the plate so it is visable from behind.

If you get behind the bike at the hight you would be in if you were in a Cop Car you will see that the plate is very visable.

Now to light the plate I went with a 6" White neon tube from an auto parts store. The light is real nice it lights up the plate and the rear tire and hugger. (Should make the Carbon Fibre Hugger look good)

As far as blinkers I bought them at a bike shop for $20. Thye would be fine but the light is Blue which is not legal. I would like to find some that are clear like the taillight but have a yellow light when lit.

I believe the tag to be legal as it is extreamly visable from behind the bike.

I have been pulled over already with this setup and it did not get any mention from the cop.

I have basically had it setup like this on every bike I have ever owned and have never had an issue with it.

It really cleans up the back of the bike.

I can take a better shot and post it later.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Yea I have my plate in the same location just more flush with the panel.

I thought about going with the blinker that way (prob the most visable) but wanted to do something about the unfinished look under the bike.

With the blinkers mounted the way I have them it is hard to see the holes.

Someone needs to make a nice smooth undertail for are bikes (painted to match) then I would mount my blinkers the way you have them.

Peace.

That is a nice job.

I like it better than mine.

I need to find some blue paint and some plastic and fill in those gaps and get my blinker mounted on the tail.

I still like the plate tucked a bit further on the bike like how mine is mounted.
