how loud is it, how fast is it, and does it change speed with RPM, and does it do it when idling in neutral too?

you sure it's from the engine? maybe something in the brakes? may wanna try removing the fairings and seeing if it's louder then. i was gonna suggest it's jsut the fuel injectors, but u'd hear that in neutral.

i'm a little confused here. i thought you didnt know what uit was but now u'r saying you know it's the valves. if that's what it is, they probably need to be adjusted. take it to your dealer unless you know how to do that urself. but be warned, i'v heard similar cases and in all of them it was not the valves after all.

btw, it's REALLY taxing to read text without punctuation.

mine makes a ticking noise also, sounds like its on the left side of the motor to me. Did you have your valves adjusted? Did that fix it?

no word frmo the dealer yet eh? i'm pretty curious to hear what is doing this too, whether it's valves or some rotating part that's hitting or what.

If the ticking distracted you and made you crash you should call John Edwards.

Exhuast leak? When I installed my Evo II pipe , started up had slight tick at idle . Went away with throttle. Adjusted header pipes more securely. Problem solved. Just my .02
