hey swft,
did the front lines this weekend and ridin on them this week , i'll take out the wafers hopefully this weekend. gotta say that the galfers are only marginally better than stock. still have to grab most of the lever travel til they kick in , just like the stock lines. less difference than my last bike, but it was a 20 year old . hopefully a re-bleed will help.
really i just ran ourt of time to remove the wafers, but this week will give me a good chance to get used to them and i can hopefully make a good assesment of the difference. i think ultimately a new set of pads may be in order but this will be after a while anyhow .
gonna remove the wafers on sunday hopefully and i'll post. sorry its taken so long .
likewise i suppose others have opinions as well on this subject....guys??

yes there is a deffinate difference in lever feel without the wafers/disks.......mmm, better initial bite along with a firmer lever feel.
BTW this is with Galfer ss-lines.

Without the wafers and HH pads the brakes were fantastic!!! Much more of a difference than I thought there would be. Better feel and less travel, just better all the way around.
