Front Brake Lines
Check your front brake lines. http://www.bikeland.org/board/images/icons/icon25.gif
Mine are being replaced under warranty (7500 kms). The hose was seperating from the fitting on the caliper end. The mechanic said it was ready to let go. A sudden loss of front brakes would have been a crash for sure. Frankly I don't want to think about all of the times I would have killed my fat ass if the front brakes failed....
I will post some pictures of the failed part when the bike is ready.

geez....first the rim (official), now the brakes (unofficial)...
if that new 6r and 6rr are the results of better research past the 10, maybe they should have waited on the 10 for one more year.

Sometimes I wonder about this company but then I know a few Honda owners that had frames on their Goldwings rewelded on warranty?!
When I had my 99 Busa it went in a few times for camchain tensioner replacements etc and some people also has catastrophic engine failures. So I guess this is life in the fast lane!

Thanks for the head's up! I'll check mine....
Turbo.... IMHO the stocker fronts on the 10R are better than mine Galfer + EBC HH that I had on my 12R... that might answer yer question.

Huh?? You bought the 10 to ride full bore with medium intensity?
Im not under the dillusion that my 12(s) are the greatest things out. They work for me now just fine. Im sure your 2000 felt long in the tooth compared to the 10. My 02 12 has abit more suspension/brake updates... so the 10 feels strange to me.
Dare Id say.... I can probably keep pace with any smaller bike (motards excepted) with the road gets twisty. The race track is a different story

? Turbo.... I'm not riding a 10 to Palomar... a weak attempt to jump on swft's bandwagon... (BTW the road isn't a racetack and IMHO you can't do more than "medium intensity" anyways... we all need to keep our licenses... but that's another topic altogether)
Anyhow... as I mentioned earlier, and swft totally misinterprutted, the 10's brakes stock are the same as my 12's kitted... I I don't attribute the difference to the weight as I also owned an '00 6R, whose stocker brakes sucked, even though it weighed a lot less than the 12R... I also own an 04 636... it's stocker brakes are great, but aren't as good as the 10R's stockers IMHO... the 04 636 weighs less than the 10R by a few pounds methinks..
if that's a comment that need's "throttling back" and makes me "sound like an asshole" then perhaps people here need a "sensitivity check".
