New Gears?
Has anyone looked into changing the gear ratios? Since the 10 has a cassette transmission I would think that swapping in a lower first gear, and a higher 6th would a popular mod? I can't be the only one that would like a quicker first gear, and less of a buzz on the highway.

The name seems to be apt...
So are you smoking, drinking, or snorting? Hopefully you aren't shooting.
What ever you are on, the 10R does not have a cassette tranny

Sheesh guys!
I read in one of the reviews that it was cassette style (Sportbike 2004)
Just goes to show that you can't believe everything that you read.
I suppose if I had the ever taken the fairings off I would have seen the obvious.
I would still like a shorter 1st gear and a taller 6th.

16 tooth counter sprocket will cure the low end stuff (and take a way some top end though).
Was it the 6RR that had that trans or the new R1???

The 16T front is great. Not a drastic change, but enough to notice. As far as top end goes, I really don't spend any time redline in 6th so I will not miss anything. There are reports that the top end loss is much less that teh mathmatical difference.
