PCIII cable routing
Had the bike apart today and remembered that the routing of the PCIII cable has been a topic in the past. Since I already had it apart I snapped a pic. The box is mounted by Velcro and the PCIII cable goes under the cable for popping the trunk. The rest of the route is pretty self explanatory. Anyway, this works for me and I thought I'd share before I sell it.

I'll have to check my bike, but it would appear that the potential problem with the route you chose is a possible crush point from the weight of the rider on the seat by the seat latch and forward of that point at the crossmember...
remember that even the slightest crush or pinch on that cable (from a stoppie, wheelie or just hard riding) can kill the PC3...
that's a proven fact.

I looked at my solo seat cowl and it allows much more space underneath than the stock seat does. If you ride your bike with no passengers and a solo seat this should be no problem as far as I can see. If anyone has done it with the solo let me know what the clearance is like because I am ordering my PCIII today.

No.... not the solo seat cowl... I'm talking about the seat you sit in... the cable he has routed crosses over top of the frame member right infront of the seat latch... I wouldnt route it like this but people are free to do whatever they want... it's a free world.

My Bad fish. I thought you were talking about the module itself so thanks for the response. I will look at the cable route much closer now when I get my PCIII.

a wise man would take the time to run that cable UNDER that frame spar... might save a frustrating failure oneday.
