*laughs* That's funny! Ah well, if you look at from a practical aspect, you don't take a shotgun to pick peaches...Or catch fish with dynamite. Gotta have the right tool for the job, including sitting at a desk. Do you have you red Swingline stapler? (Bonus prize if you name the movie).

Maybe it's a rite of passage for Wormy? Didya ever put that KLX400 on it's side, Wormy?

...oh yeah...i've face planted a few times on soft stuff off-road...single-track wheel grab on grass and powdery dirt/sand...no damage to me or bike...it was actually 'fun'...this was the first time ever since i began riding in 1975 that i've been struck while riding my motorcycle...

didn't that road strike you as you fell on it during the camping trip last year?

...why yes it did, but i did that on my own...this is the first (and hopefully the last) time i've been involved in a collision with another motor vehicle while riding my motorcycle...i wished i could've been as lucky as you were and had landed on my feet....

worm, since training uoschi assumably requires little physicial strength from u, can't u continue training while injured? of course actual work would not be possible since you may need to get physical.

hey Wormy hope you get to feelign better bro....and I got a question for ya that you may have already addressed, if so , I missed it. Are you gonna get another 10? if not what are you gonna do with all of the stuff you got for it, like the hump, I know its got mucked up? and I know you got some Euro blinkers, but I imagine they got mucked up as well?

Personally I hope you get another one and put all the stuff to good use, but if not........

...the only stuff that appeared to have gone unscathed were the rear euros, sliders, steering dampener, tank, oem muffler, right rear pegs/bracket, right foot controls, rear wheel, swingarm...that's all i can remember seeing...everything else dented, gouged, or shattered...and yes, i plan to get another one

Any word from insurance company yet? I dunno if it'd be worth doing a buyback. It's most certainly totalled. Front end crunch (forks) will total out a bike 99% of the time because insurance doesn't want the liability. And a buyback means you just bought back something that's going to be *expensive* to fix. And besides the motor, what else is useful? Oh yah, the gas tank. There's a good chance the frame is boogered...

...there's a huge dent on the right side of the frame spar....right under the gas tank...just forward of where my knee would naturally be...a little more unfortunate timing and maybe the cellulous construction of my knee would've crushed and absorbed the energy of that impact and perhaps prevented that dent...I'm thinking the only things salvagable are the engine, ecu, tank, rear wheel/tire assembly, swingarm, muffler...I'm thinking that I'm gonna have to walk away from it unless I could make decnt profit off of it given my time, space, and wrenchin' abilities while I'm recuperating from my injuries...

I hear ya. Let me know what the buy back is. It'll be a bit of a drive but it might be worth it for me. I'm definitely glad you're able to tell us about it.

Thanks.
