You go girl. Only EVER use Canada Post. Fast enough for MOST deliveries, and cheap.

...And I really dont know how you "false scan"...
That's a UPS trick. They call it a virtual scan. Item is scannned at origin, takes it normal route through the system, and is scanned along the way, the final scan being at delivery. Every time you track the package the last scan is reported so you know exactly where the package is. Not. They scan it at pickup and delivery. Maybe once or twice in the middle. Maybe. That tracking data is a fucking fairy tale. It's where your shit would be if it didn't fall off the conveyor belt in Goat Scrotum, Arkansas. Every once in a while your package does get fuxored. The give-away is when the tracking system reports "out for delivery" two days in a row (or 10 days or a fucking year if you don't ask them to find it) to a business that is open during delivery hours. Then they go backwards through the normal path till someone finds it being used to keep the lunch table in the employee cafeteria from wobbling. Noble duty to be sure, but not what you paid for. Here's the kicker: Naturally you weren't worried about a few bucks while your ulcer perforated from panic over the whereabouts of your irreplaceable package. So when they find it, sure enough your window of opportunity to request a refund expired the night before.
Oh, and fish antlers, when you think UPS guarantees overnight to rural international locations, finding out the hard way they don't is technically "tuition." No refund is due

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What a lie!
Goat Scrotum, AR don't even got no conveyor belts. Even at the SF Services feed store. They ain't even got electricity yet! Heck, we just got it here in Little Rock, AR right after we sent Slick Willy and his bitch to Washington and Goat Scrotum is a good 60 miles south of here. The Electric Co-Op ain't gonna get to them folks down there for another couple of years.

Besides working with them for the last 15 years, my neighbors work there and I've been to a few of the parties. The same kind of corporate BS is going to happen with any shipping company. You want some more dirt on UPS? Ever hear of a virtual scan? That's where they assume your package is with the rest of the pile it started in and report false tracking data. I could give you more ammo to fuel your UPS rant, or I could share some of FedX's dark secrets. What you guys need to do is grow the fuck up and do your homework on critical shipments, kinda like businesspeople. Then you won't get that "cry like a bitch" consumer attitude when shit goes south. Oops, that was little harsh. Never mind.
Talk about a fucking rant and someone needing to grow up. Do tell about the dark side of FedEx numbnuts, I would sure like to hear it since I work there.

bovine...what ever your long name is.... don't lump all Fedex workers into one pile.
The UPS, the FEDEX, the DHL, the Purolator and the local couriers that I deal with every day are great! It is their companies and there crazy policies that piss most of us off. UPS is known to lie about where they "deliver to" - this much I do know!
And what is wrong with homosexuals? Do you have a closet secret you wish to discuss? Blasting homosexuals, minorities and most other sensitive issues are not tolerated here.

Bill, i hear what you are saying about the streets and such being similar, but this package went to the wrong TOWN, adn a street name that wasnt even close, to a house with a number that wasnt even close.....When Brett got the package, he verified that all the address on the package was indeed correct.....what was the carrier thinking or smoking when he dropped it off?
I agree the reciever was shady as well, personally if they tried to deliver something to me that wasnt addressed to me, with someone elses name on it, I wouldnt take it...after all its NOT mine.....JMO

Man this is complicated.
I'd have just had RedElk make the banner up 3 months in advance and then ship it snail mail to me for like $ 2.11 CDN. ;-)

Not blasting them all. Just the vast majority of the ones I've dealt with in San Diego. They tend to have a negative atitude toward customers, the exact opposite of my experiences with UPS drivers. I got no issues with my orientation. I'm definitely sticking with Bush.

Art work for ZX-10R banner was received from client on Sat, 7 Aug 2004 14:15:59. Corrected art due to client failing to prepare it properly, arrived on Mon, 9 Aug 2004 17:24:38. Banner was shipped Aug 26th, 13 business days later. Not too bad of a turn around during a political season.
Cost of banner was cost of shipping only. Due to the failure of UPS to deliver the package in a timely manner (it still has not arrived at it's original destination - scheduled deliver 9/2 AM), there will be no charge incured by the shipper or client. If package is delivered to original destinattion, UPS has offered to create a call tag and ship it from it's current location to where ever the client wishes it to be shipped to. Again, at no charge. Awaiting instructions from client.
Specifications of decals order for ZX-12R Zone has yet to have been clarified by client. Client put on order on hold approximately 4 to 6 months ago due to possible design change. Specifications on decals for ZX-10R Zone have yet to have been provided by client. Again, awaiting instructions from client.
No rant... just fact.

What's in a name. Just for DirtyBill
quote: btw. Why is Akansas pronounced Ark-an-saw..???? Is it an Indian name or sumthin?
Arkansas is the name of an Indian tribe.
At the time of the early French exploration, a tribe of Indians, the Quapaws, lived West of the Mississippi and north of the Arkansas River.
The name "Quapaw" or Oo-gaq-pa, is a derivative of the tribal term Ugakhpa, meaning "down stream people." These people belong to the Dhegiha subdivision of the Sioux. It is believed that this group originally resided in the Ohio Valley. The tribe left this region following the Ohio River downstream to the Mississippi River and eventually to the land which is now Arkansas.
Arkansas is named after the Quapaw. In the mid 1600's the French explores, Marquette and Joliet, when traveling down the Mississippi used the Illini Indians as their guides. The guides referred to the Quapaw tribe as "Akansea", pronounced Oo-ka-na-sa, - People of the South Wind. This was the name the Illini Indians had given them in their own language. Marquette and Joliet wrote it as Arkansoa on their maps.
In 1682, Seiur de LaSalle wrote it as Arkensa
In 1686, Henri De Tonti wrote it as Arkancas
De Tonti also established the first European settlement with 6 residents ans was known as the Arkancas Post.
In 1719, LaHarpe wrote it as Arkansas.
When the state was admitted to the Union in 1836, it was spelled Arkansas.
During the early days of statehood, Arkansas' two U.S. Senators were divided on the spelling and pronunciation. One was always introduced as the senator from "ARkanSAW" and the other as the senator from "Ar-KANSAS."
In 1881, the state's General Assembly passed a resolution declaring that the state's name should be spelled Arkansas but pronounced Arkansaw.
The state historic officials claims that the pronunciation, Ark-an-Saw, preserves the memory of the Indians who were the original inhabitants of the state, but interestingly enough, the original tribe name of Quapaw is now pronounced Kwa-pa, not Oo-gaq-pa by today's non-native American Indian locals.

In view of all the preceding, please transfer all blame for any screwed up shipments from Muzzys directly to UPS. This will save time and headaches here.
