TiForce results
Well fellas, I got my bike custom mapped today and I must say.....WOW, what an improvement. My bike Dynoed stock at 149.8HP with around 1100 miles on the clock. I installed a TiForce full Ti system and a PC3USB and had it mapped today. The results were mighty satisfying to say the least. We tried to use the TiForce map listed on the Power Commander site and it gave us 153.4hp. I wasn't satisfied with those numbers so I decided to have a custom map made. After about 5 hours of mapping we reached a peak HP of 163.2hp and 78.6 ft lbs of torque. The graphs looked great with no real dips anywhere and the torque curve was great even with out using the "cone" that comes with the system. The dyno operator was extremely happy with it as well. It took so long due to the high temps in the dyno room, 88 degrees and very humid. We would start mapping and the bike would exceed the suggested temps. We would have to stop and let the bike cool down before continuing. All in all I am very happy with the TiForce system. I will try and get some pics posted tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Did you eliminate the exhaust valve? If you did how do you trick the computer??

My tuner is supposed to send me a copy of the graph and the actual map he made by email sometime within the week. As soon as I get it I will get it to ya. FattKaw, I did eliminate the exhaust valve(a full system doesn't include a valve) but with a remapp, there is no need to "trick" the ECU. I do need to find out how to remove the valve servo without the FI light staying on. Anyone out there figure this out yet?

10 bhp from a remap? I guess my gixxer experience makes me skeptical. That would never happen on a gixxer unless you got duped. Which happens a lot. Duping by dyno operators that is.

10 bhp difference between maps is unheard of on gixxers. Unless, as I said, somebody got scammed, and there is a whole lot of scammin' going on out there. Mapping just isn't a 10 bhp kinda thing, unless something was very, very wrong with the first map. I'd really like to see what the bike does with the PC disconnected. What temp range was considered acceptable?

MAd...shoot me an e-mail and your dyno and your map if you can. I will check it against the one on the PC site. Without any map at all you should pick up 10hp so, I'm thinking the map on the site might have been for another bike or something......

I was there when both runs were made and the dyno operator didn't do anything for the last HP run other than run the bike. I don't really know if it makes any difference but the temps had dropped some by the end of the day due to rain moving into the area. Rob, as soon as I get the map I will get a copy to ya. Unfortunately, I didn't get a printout of the final run. The printout I got was the first HP pull and the dyno had the redline set at 12K rpm for some reason. It still showed 160hp and 76ft lbs of torque. I will scan that and send it to you if you want it.

Who did your tuning? I had my 10R (full Akro, PC111USB) tuned last week in Atlanta, and my results sucked: it actually made less power than yours did stock. I'd like to try another shop to see if I just have a dog, or that it's a result of different tuners and dynos.

Thanks fish. In all honesty I can't "feel" a difference down low. I only got to ride it home from the dyno yesterday so I may have better info after a good ride.

Ya really don't spend that much quality time in the lower end (4-5k) except highway cruising in the higher gears. The bikes revs so much quicker that when your ready to get down you've missed nothing. I have not mapped my F/S and really don't feel a need to unless I do some engine mods.
