Poll Question:
for what purpose

For what purpose did you acquire your ZX-10R? The reason I ask is because I've heard/read more than a few times now of how some owners are dissatisfied with the bike's lack of power. I know this much about the 10R: This ain't no 12R and it ain't no Busa...but it certainly is a very capable handler in the right hands.

And if you're riding it on the streets, how much more horsepower and torque do you really need? Can you actually use 15~20 HP more on this bike? How's your tire budget? Questions, questions. Ringers or not, is the average ZX-10R really that bad????

Depending on your selection below, you may or may not be on the proper bike for your chosen riding venue. There are other bikes more capable than the 10R for your type of riding.

Choose well...choose wisely.

bought mine to pick up hookers! but seriously, how 'bout adding twisties w/ occasional track days. that expands a little on JUST riding public roads.

If I was only going to ride on the street, I woulda bought a ZX-12R. Cuz like wormhole said, the 10 ain't quite in ZX-12 territory. But I wanted an excellent track bike so it was an easy decision.

I just like having the hottest thing out. With the light weight and power I felt I would be more happy with a 10R setup for my street preference which is sport touring. If I could just score a Corbin . . . it would be extreme sport touring.
