hot rod set up
...please excuse the play on words (got yer' attention, didn't it?  )...but what type of rod stock and what diameter do I need use to stick through the hollow swingarm pivot bolt to support the rear end up off the ground?...a precise fit would be optimum (trying not to to bugger up the ID), but very close will do, too....thanks!

I used a 3/8" x 36" galvanized rod from the Home Depot. If you drill out the spot where forging the hex socket has pinched the right side, it will take a 12mm shaft. Not sure I'm ready to do that without looking at the swingarm axle a little closer. Keep those jackstands close to the frame. The 3/8 mild steel rod is strong enough if you heed that precaution.
