1ST VIRGIN TRACK DAY TODAY, HOORAH
Just got back from my first ever track day, and the of course first track day for my 10r. Weather did not really cooperate, but we made do. I went to New Hampshire International Speedway(Loudon). It is a 1.6 mile track and was told by many would have my hands full. It was a great success, had a blast, and I must say for my first track day i think I did OK. I stayed on the stock Dunlop, actual have a 208 on the rear, and a 218 on the front(nail in rear) this was a per suggestion of many, because of 1) a newbie I am, 2) with 1700 miles on the tires I have, I am used to them. A lot thought that if I went to a sticky Race DOT tire it might mess me up. Well needless to say the stock tires did fine for me this time, but I did not notice after 12-14 laps they got pretty slick.... But hey, bottom line I had fun, and came out with a safew day. I give the 10r a thumbs up from a novice point of view. Will be going back on 9/8/04, with PC3USB, MUzzy, Galfers and DOT race tires, so I think I should see a difference, thanks for reading this post, just wanted to share my enjpyment today/.....
