Fish antlers , you need to get off the drugs son . Kuwait is not even close to Arizona . Try Yahoo maps . It will get you straight .

You might be trying to check my ip addy or something . We pull all of our NIPR feed from the states . Might be where you "think" I am in the states . Shoot me a PM or an email , include your phone number . I will call you on the phone . You can check your caller ID out and then report back here that I am not in the states .

And mystery solved. I thought you mean't the pinch bolts on the triple clamps. Not the Steering Stem Head Nut.

Kind of hard to mount a steering damper to the pinch bolts don't you think K. Bryant ??

Well.... I don't see anywhere in my replies that I suggested this was going to take place and/or happen. But since you seem to be asking me a question now, I will tell you...

In the 70's we did it frequently. Before steering dampers came as bolt-on kits, we all had to fabricate bracketing. Many of us racing would make brackets that bolted onto the bottom triple clamp pinch bolts and allowed us a pivot point to install our dampers, when combined with a welded- on boss on the frame downtube. We installed exaggerated steering stops to prevent the steering/turning radius of the bars from bottoming out the throw of the damper. It also helped us limit the amount of tank slap we all experienced on our Z1's. We then progressed to removing the bottom triple clamp and drilling a hole in them for a more solid mounting point and a straighter and more reduced arc to the damper plane. As racers, we were innovators at the time trying to come up with solutions nobody else was marketing. Now-a-days, of course I would never recommend this, as the kits are complete and extremely well thought out. But again, I don't see where I ever indicated he would and/or may be installing it on his pinch bolts. That was never his question. But hopefully this answers your question.

Greatly improved the clarity but you lost me with the Z1 era and 1970 . Had 600rr mentioned his Z1 or 1970 , your reply to me might have been relevant . Here we are talking about ZX10R's and this is 2004 . Again probably a harmless error in words .

Listen Dket... You're in no position to demand anything here, let alone the owner of this site's phone numbers!, gimmee a break.. I'm not going to play a tit for tat game with you...

so.... you can pony up your phone number to me via email (I'll hold it in confidence as I do with all of the other members numbers I have, who can confirm this). Once you do that I'll gladly provide you via telephone with my number with which you can contact me at any time. My email addy is fish_antlers@bikeland.org or webmaster@bikeland.org ... You should do this asap as I have a few things I'd like to discuss with you in person, or you can ship out and get out of here as we (at admin) have just about had it with you pissing off our general membership.

So there you have it. Like I said, this isn't the army, this is the internet and here you're nothing more than a parking attendant with an attitude in our eyes. So put your ego aside and use some of your military training you claim to have and learn to treat the people here who have a higher rank than you do with the respect they deserve.

not at all bovine.. far from it, but I'd hazard to guess that many members do... the registration process and the site being blocked to lurkers is meant to prevent people from "hiding" behind their keyboards "dket" style....

dket needs to get in touch with me and clear up some things as he has pissed off the wrong people. Either that or he can give up his membership.

actually outlaw has attended some bikeland events with members and has hung out with them... as out there as he is when he posts, I've been told that he's okay.. on top of that, I'm sure he'd shoot me his # in a second and we could chat if things got out of control.

dket is still in hiding.

we dont play that game here.
