I'm Gonna miss the great service!
Some preface is required!
My local dealer has repeatedly disapointed me in many ways, I have tried to give them a chance to earn my business but they seem to resist in every way.
Yesterday as I was leaving my house I spotted a couple of sportbikes in the school parking lot, Thought they were taking a break! Got home an hour later and they were still there and a crowd was gathering so I strolled over to see what was up, A young gentleman with a less than 3 hour old 636R was taking his bike apart, I asked what the problem was and nobody knew, This young man's bike wouldn't start, I could go on but it's not nessasary for this story so I'll get to the point, The dealer sold this guy a bike, Poured the acid in the battery and gave him the keys, (I'm sure they thanked him for the check :-)) This is the same dealer that tells everyone that if they don't buy from them they will not service it, Not even warranty claims! The next closest Dealer is 85 miles away and of course the local dealer has closed for the weekend and this guy is pretty much screwed untill Tuesday, I took him to my garage and got him fixed up, He had no knowledge of the bike he had just purchased so I spent a little time with him and his riding buddy familurizing them with their bikes.
Damn I'm gonna miss the the "Great Service"

Dang dude. But you did a good service though...glad to hear there are at least people like you out there willing.
Saddens me when a dealer does that, ya know you want the customer to come back for future purchases, repeat business, network marketing by good word of mouth...dang I sound like one of my profs.

From the post, sounds like the dealer didn't charge the battery - just poured in acid. That's not good for it... was that what the issue was?

Yes! They filled the batt. and gave him the key, No walk around, nothing! Didn't even clean the bike up! Charged him retail for the bike, helmet, jacket and gloves!
I went in a couple of weeks ago and asked for their best OTD CASH price on a 10-R and they hit me at full retail, I asked the salesman (a guy that I have ridden with) if that was the best price he could do and he said "we don't deal on these" and our service is great!
Need I tell you that I bought somewhere else!
