Galfer lines went on today. Did the fronts and the rear as well. Rear feels a bazillion percent better, and I bet I could actually use it now. Fronts still need more bleeding. I used a power bleeder, and it pushes fluid from the nipple up to the reservior. Normally works great, but not this time. Ah well, not in a rush. Gonna be rainy till the middle of the week in any case. Will just work at it each day till then.

I believe it's to give the brake more mush - less power - under panicked stopping. I have no other explaination for it...
I agree, the rear sucks stock. I adjusted it to grab within a reasonable amount of travel on day #2 of ownership, but replacing the rear hose is way down on my priority list.

Yah, normally I don't use the rear enough to matter, but I just didn't like the feel of the stock rear. Like it wasn't there. Now to just get the fronts bled out all the way.

Yes, mine is just from adjusting it. You learn to modulate it; in my case I want to modulate it about 1/4 into the travel is all...

Gotta agree on that back brake being soft. I use it alot to set the bike into a squat when flicking her in there. Been doing this for a real long time, so if you try it, please do so carefully at first. It can put you on your ear quickly if you don't have some decent feel for it. But if you try, you'll see it really helps the bike take a "set" in the corners. Dirt Trackers unite!
Soo..... I'll be getting some new lines shortly.

Hmmm...... Thanx for showing the pix. Can't do those gold fittings. Rather have the banjo set-up in the front, as it comes in tighter. Thatz alot of gold stuff in that front end area. Bling, Bling!

...seriously, though..I like the black/gold motif (not to be confused with 'mo teef'...as in "...dayum!!!...you gots the shit knocked outta yoazz...you aint gots no mo teef, homie!!!...you don't need dat no mo...gimme dat pepsoDAYENT...")...*true 'converstion'*
...black and gold is a very classic and timeless combo...just ask classical Dino! ...anyways, kbryant got me thinking and I'd like for the front to look tighter as well...I Imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to cut off the fitting and install tight gold anodized banjos, would it?...

I found Galfer lines with (banjo-style) gold fittings, at a decent price. I get the sense they cut them to length then ship the next day.
