Why cant the entire exhaust system be black?
Just wondering if it cant be done or there isnt enough demand (which I would think is rather unlikely) but what about making the entire exhaust system black in color? I know they make cans either black or in carbon fiber, but why cant all the exhaust pipes that go into the muffler be black as well?
I was looking at pics of my first motorcycle, a 1990 Ninja and the stock can was black on it, so why dont manufacturers do that anymore as well?
I dunno...just wonderin what ya'll think and the exhaust companies we have on the board as well?

black... the anti-bling color....but who nows?...I could make the stock system look like that

That's prolly the most practical thing to use. You could also anodize, right?

The preferred flavor of the day for exhaust systems at this time is the gold tint that heated titanium has. And that is what we already have. Yahoooo. Kawasaki has gotten slammed by the media for the black systems. But black systems are "right" for some bikes. A buddy has a ZRX with a black megaphone Kerker exhaust system. That is perfect for that bike. But the ZX10 should have a gold tinted titanium system. IMHO.

I agree, id actually for the first time like to see what a black system would look like since there is so much black on this bike. The slipon I have now I think is just too much "chrome" for this bike, and hopefully ARATA will have a black satin can, or carbon can, or something thats not "bling bling"

...but we wanna see whatit would look like first  ...I have a feeling that it'd look 'serious'...even more serious than it looks stock....might even go faster, too

I remember those days when the exhaust was black and the can was unpainted and I can remember thinking "why do they paint headers black? It would look alot better if they left the whole thing unpainted"...
The unpainted exhaust just looks cleaner IMHO....

...maybe economics dictated that they just leave the head-pipes, mid-pipes, collector, and sometimes even the muffler 'natural' color...but tis easy to blacken your exhaust system with hi-temp exhaust manifold paint...of course 'bling' has its place...even on shiny-shine 'blinged-out' 10Rs...but for those seeking the serious stealth-like visual qualities of the black-framed, black-armed, black-fork-tubed, black bike (the faster ones), a blacked-out exhaust system could be what they want...
...I can see it iin my mind's eye...black-everything except the 'orange-gold' hued fork legs, calipers, and foot controls/pegs...hmmmm...wonder what THAT would look like with the foot control/pegs in that hue?...beans?

beans...give that orange a little red hue and you'll have that BMW nuclear Henna Red color I told you about...and could you remove that rear mud-flap?
