My Home Town Team is in the Stanley Cup!!!!!
I was so pumped to see that my home town team (Calgary Flames) got to the Stanley Cup Final (burned the San Jose Sharks) that I had to ride the ZX 10 R to the shop today with a Calgary Flames jersey on, as I am doing some more tweaking on the dyno there. Let you know of some numbers later. Here's a pic

Congrats. If I remember right the Flames last won the cup in the late 80's with a great team of Tim Hunter, Gary Roberts, Mike Vernon, Jamie McCoun, Rick Natress, Joel Otto.
I don't follow it anymore. But it's still one of the greatest of games.

...the only other legitimate sport/game besides boxing and full contact martial arts where it starts out as a stick and puck game, but its "ok" to pummel your opponent into submission during the game...with a ref watching and stopping you only if you fall down on the ice...intertesting this ice-hockey game...fascinating to watch

Right you are hamilton! But since then Calgary has doubled in size and they are all nuts!
Ya better watch the finals as these games so far were friggin awesome entertainment. I't will prolly be Tampa Bay Lightning ..........they are a fast young team!!!

yeah i remember back in the day, guess it was late 80s like hamilton said, when they were a real powerhouse team. seemed they were unbeatable for a few seasons there, right after the oilers had their streak i think? never followed it much but living north of the 49th u get pretty well bombarded with all things hockey news.
