engineermike: I was abit abrasive; I apologize; but... I do not dream you will ever do 9.3's or 9.5's My point is you are just trying to break into nines and are neglecting to use available help from MR9 (if you can get?) and at least a modified can thats all... even if you are not the best launcher these may help you get nines not 9.3's. I am estimating increase between 8-12 hp you could have all together.
Problem I am having is finding MR9 sold by just one gallon quantity. Seen 5 gallons for $110.00; little too rich for me. I do not believe Mr. Norman Jack uses best fuel and exhaust he can get as a waste of his time...
Your an engineer ,not saying skill is not a huge factor . I say continue practicing and evaluating how you are launching also. Use everything at your disposal to meet your goals as a good engineer would do. Just my opinion wish you luck.
Just ordered same stuff you got for drag racing I weigh 192 lbs; wish me luck. I will eat crow if I do not break into nines hehe. But I believe I will and will practice what I preach....
Keep the faith.
Have fun ;Stay alive.

Salsa, MR9 will not make you faster, if you dont have your skill level matching your bikes ability!!!...MR9 is approx. $ 20 a gallon, to me its not worth it yet!!!
Check out my fastest ET/MPH on my post...I am 1/10 away from some of the Pro riders fastest ET on a ZX12 with the same exact mods I have...I am not consistant enough either as the Pro Riders are!!!...When I find the sweet spot on my 12 consistantly, then I will add the additional mods that the Pro Riders have and let you guys know how much faster I am going!!!
If you replace skill with HorsePower mods then you will never know what your fully capable of!!!...Remember guys Like Norm Jackson, Rickey Gadson, Keith Dennis, Ryan Schnitz and many more DragRacers have many years of Passes under their belt...Also, all are able to put down low ETs on a stock motor foot shifting...

Hi crotchrocket :
Is it not true they also do not run pump gas given the choice ; I have no problem with your philosophy; only you have to like it really. I consede runing on pump gas and stock exhaust has it's merits. But I could contend.... lets not lower bike, install aftermarket exhaust or gear down to be consistent with your purity rules.
I view things my way and I respect myself just fine; there are no absolutes I am violating. If we have "experienced dragracers" set the standard then I think they would accept MR9 fuel and not say what you are telling me to not be hypocritical. ... if not whatever; seems acceptable in the world of dragracing to me.
Glad you are having such great times;I think $20.00 a gallon is too expensive myself but if I feel like buying some I will. If I can get some at the track I might use and see what difference it makes. (Norm Jackson uses VP Ultimate 4)
I'll keep it a secret if it makes you happy. Just kidding I'll tell you now for sure hehe.
If all my skills gave me was 10.00 you bet I would use MR9 and alter my exhaust.
Have fun crotchrocket ;dragracing is just a fun hobby to me. The ZX-10R just a toy.
yeah we probably don't agree who cares....
However you or mike choose to dragrace is fine with me. Your inputs to forum has been helpfull; not that I need to agree with all of it.....

No matter how much testing I do with VP fuel, it never ceases to amaze me on how much power it adds; especially the MR9. 7.1 hp! Almost identical to what it added on my 12. Same on the fuel curve. Pretty nice.
