oil filter wrench

What's this oil-filter 'wrench' ya'allz talking about? I've peered under and into the bowels of the beast and that sucka's way in there and looks like I might have to offer my neighbor kid some bucks to help me R&R that oil filter, but don't want to run into child-labor disputes. Iwannadoitmyowndamnself...info, please? Thanks!

Yup. A Yamaha R1 wrench works too.

As does the Honda wrench from my 954. I think most of the newer bikes use the same one.

Yeah, it looks like a cap that seats over the end of the filter, and notches into the indentations around the end of the filter. It has a boss in the center that accepts a 3/8"-drive extension/wrench.
